Karl Kleppe is a litigation associate in the Real Estate Practice Group. Since entering private practice in 2023, Karl has litigated cases involving boundary disputes, adverse possession, real estate seller disclosures, contract disputes, construction defect, timber trespass, fraudulent billing practices, and violations of the Consumer Protection Act.
Before entering private practice, Karl obtained valuable litigation experience as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and as a Certified Law Clerk for the Washington Attorney General’s Office in the Labor and Industries Division.
Karl is licensed to practice in Washington and Oregon.
Karl graduated with honors from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in 2022. Prior to law school, he graduated with honors from Belmont University in 2019, where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) in Music Business with an emphasis in law.
Karl competed in national moot court (appellate advocacy) and mock trial (trial advocacy) competitions throughout law school, and had competed in mock trial since he was fifteen years old. He was inducted into the Order of the Barristers in 2022 as a result of his competitive success.
Outside the practice of law, Karl is also an avid musician. He is a classically trained pianist and upright bassist, and also plays the guitar, electric bass, and drums. He enjoys writing and recording music in his spare time.
