Isaac is a dedicated champion for his clients, carefully crafting persuasive briefs and advancing their cases at oral argument. Isaac has a talent for communicating complex legal issues and telling his clients’ stories in a compelling narrative. He regularly drafts merits briefing for appeals and prepares amicus briefs for industry associations, non-profit organizations, and healthcare entities.

He works with clients from the start of a case to assess their best options in the pre-litigation phase and to determine whether alternative dispute resolution is a worthwhile option. His skill as a negotiator has helped clients achieve successful outcomes in both mediation and informal discussions. Isaac is also ready to advance his client’s case in the courtroom or in arbitration, and he has successfully brought and defended against dispositive motions. Isaac also helps clients resolve complex regulatory issues, representing corporations and individuals in administrative hearings and government investigations. He practices in front of the Washington State Office of Administrative Hearings, the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner, and the Washington State Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals. His counsel helps clients obtain the best results in any dispute, whether it is resolving an investigation by consent order or challenging a legal issue on appeal.
Prior to joining Carney, Isaac worked at a boutique litigation firm and interned with the Seattle City Attorney’s Office. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Law, and previously was a Legislative Assistant with the Washington House of Representatives. Outside of his legal practice, Isaac’s interests include hiking (especially around the North Cascades National Park), cinema, and running.
